Duties and Taxes

Purchases made at the Gallery incur an Australian GST (Goods and Services Tax) unless they are purchased for immediate delivery overseas ie via our website, through email or where the customer in the Gallery is not taking the goods with them and are having them freighted directly overseas.

Goods delivered within Australia will be subject to an Australian GST (Goods and Services Tax). Purchases from other countries where the goods leave Australia are exempt from an Australian GST however other duties and/or taxes may apply specific to the country of import. The buyer is liable for these charges and will be charged by the courier on delivery.  These charges are non-refundable on return of goods to us.  A customs declaration form will be filled out and shipped withr all overseas deliveries

Overseas visitors purchasing and taking goods back overseas with them will pay the Australian GST but the GST component can be claimed back at the port where they leave the country ie the airport, where they have a tax receipt for goods to the value of AUD$300 or over.

We strongly recommend taking out insurance for works that might arrive damaged and/or are lost in transit.
